No décimo quinto dia do oitavo mês, data que ele mesmo escolheu, ofereceu sacrifícios no altar que havia construído em Betel. Assim ele instituiu a festa para os israelitas e foi ao altar para queimar incenso.

Sacrificou, pois, no altar, que fizera em Betel, no dia décimo quinto do oitavo mês, mês que ele tinha escolhido a seu bel prazer; assim ordenou uma festa para os filhos de Israel, e sacrificou no altar, queimando incenso.

He went up to the altar that he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, in the month that he had devised from his own heart. And he instituted a feast for the people of Israel and went up to the altar 1to make offerings.
