“Saiba que também está com você Simei, filho de Gera, o benjamita de Baurim. Ele lançou terríveis maldições contra mim no dia em que fui a Maanaim. Mas depois desceu ao meu encontro no Jordão e lhe prometi, jurando pelo SENHOR, que não o mataria à espada.

E eis que também contigo está Simei, filho de Gêra, benjamita, de Baurim, que me lançou atroz maldição, no dia em que eu ia a Maanaim; porém ele saiu a encontrar-se comigo junto ao Jordão, e eu lhe jurei pelo Senhor, dizendo: Não te matarei � espada.

And there is also with you Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjaminite from Bahurim, who cursed me with a grievous curse on the day when I went to Mahanaim. But when he came down to meet me at the Jordan, I swore to him by the LORD, saying, 'I will not put you to death with the sword.'
