Salomão respondeu: “Tu foste muito bondoso para com o teu servo, o meu pai, Davi, pois ele foi fiel a ti, e foi justo e reto de coração. Tu mantiveste grande bondade para com ele e lhe deste um filho que hoje se assenta no seu trono.

And Solomon said, "You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because 1he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you. And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and 2have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.
