Deuteronômio 31:17
Naquele dia, se acenderá a minha ira contra eles, e eu me esquecerei deles; esconderei deles o meu rosto, e eles serão destruídos. Muitas desgraças e sofrimentos os atingirão, e naquele dia perguntarão: ‘Será que essas desgraças não estão acontecendo conosco porque o nosso Deus não está mais conosco?’

Então se acenderá a minha ira naquele dia contra ele, e eu o deixarei, e dele esconderei o meu rosto, e ele será devorado. Tantos males e angústias o alcançarão, que dirá naquele dia: Não é, porventura, por não estar o meu Deus comigo, que me sobrevieram estes males?

Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, 'Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?'
