Ester 8:11
O decreto do rei concedia aos judeus de cada cidade o direito de se reunirem e de se protegerem, de destruir, matar e aniquilar qualquer força armada de qualquer povo ou província que os ameaçasse, a eles, suas mulheres e seus filhos,a e o direito de saquear os bens dos seus inimigos.

Nestas cartas o rei concedia aos judeus que havia em cada cidade que se reunissem e se dispusessem para defenderem as suas vidas, e para destruírem, matarem e esterminarem todas as forças do povo e da província que os quisessem assaltar, juntamente com os seus pequeninos e as suas mulheres, e que saqueassem os seus bens,
