Dali prosseguiu em direção às colinas a leste de Betel, onde armou acampamento, tendo Betel a oeste e Ai a leste. Construiu ali um altar dedicado ao SENHOR e invocou o nome do SENHOR.

Então passou dali para o monte ao oriente de Betel, e armou a sua tenda, ficando-lhe Betel ao ocidente, e Ai ao oriente; também ali edificou um altar ao Senhor, e invocou o nome do Senhor.

From there he moved to the hill country on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. And there he built an altar to the LORD and called upon the name of the LORD.
