Josué 8:29
Enforcou o rei de Ai numa árvore e ali o deixou até a tarde. Ao pôr do sol Josué ordenou que tirassem o corpo da árvore e que o atirassem à entrada da cidade. E sobre ele ergueram um grande monte de pedras, que perdura até hoje.

Ao rei de Ai enforcou num madeiro, deixando-o ali até a tarde. Ao pôr do sol, por ordem de Josué, tiraram do madeiro o cadáver, lançaram-no � porta da cidade e levantaram sobre ele um grande montão de pedras, que permanece até o dia de hoje.

And he hanged the king of Ai on a tree until evening. And at sunset Joshua commanded, and they took his body down from the tree and threw it at the entrance of the gate of the city and raised over it a great heap of stones, which stands there to this day.
