Fight the Good Fight of Faith

But as for you, 1O man of God, 2flee these things. 3Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
4Fight the good fight of the faith. 5Take hold of the eternal life 6to which you were called and about which you made 7the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
8I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, 9who in his testimony beforea Pontius Pilate made 10the good confession,
to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until 11the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which he will display 12at the proper time--he who is 13the blessed and only Sovereign, 14the King of kings and Lord of lords,
15who alone has immortality, 16who dwells in 17unapproachable light, 18whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
As for the rich in 19this present age, charge them 20not to be haughty, nor 21to set their hopes on 22the uncertainty of riches, but on God, 23who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
They are to do good, 24to be rich in good works, to be generous and 25ready to share,
thus 26storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may 27take hold of 28that which is truly life.
O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. 29Avoid the 30irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called "knowledge,"
for by professing it some have swerved from the faith. 31Grace be with you.b
