31We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,
4
since we heard of 2your faith in Christ Jesus and of 3the love that you have for all the saints,
5
because of 4the hope 5laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in 6the word of the truth, the gospel,
6
which has come to you, as indeed 7in the whole world it is 8bearing fruit and growing--as it also does among you, since the day you 9heard it and understood 10the grace of God in truth,
7
just as you learned it from 11Epaphras our beloved 12fellow servant.a He is 13a faithful minister of Christ on yourb behalf
8
and has made known to us your 14love in the Spirit.
9
And so, 15from the day we heard, 16we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that 17you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all 18spiritual wisdom and understanding,
10
so as 19to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, 20fully pleasing to him, 21bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
1122May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for 23all endurance and patience 24with joy,
1225giving thanksc to the Father, who has qualified youd to share in 26the inheritance of the saints in light.
13
He 27has delivered us from 28the domain of darkness and transferred us to 29the kingdom of 30his beloved Son,
1431in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
