O homem que obtém riquezas por meios injustosé como a perdiz que choca ovos que não pôs.Quando a metade da sua vida tiver passado, elas o abandonarão,e, no final, ele se revelará um tolo.

Como a perdiz que ajunta pintainhos que não são do seu ninho, assim é aquele que ajunta riquezas, mas não retamente; no meio de seus dias as deixará, e no seu fim se mostrará insensato.

Like the partridge that gathers a brood that she did not hatch, so is he who gets riches but not by justice; in the midst of his days they will leave him, and at his end he will be a fool.
