A alegria e a satisfação se foramdas terras férteis de Moabe.Interrompi a produção de vinho nos lagares.Ninguém mais pisa as uvascom gritos de alegria;embora haja gritos, não são de alegria.

Tirou-se, pois, a alegria e o regozijo do campo fértil e da terra de Moabe; e fiz que o vinho cessasse dos lagares; já não pisam uvas com júbilo; o brado não é o de júbilo

Gladness and joy have been taken away from the fruitful land of Moab; I have made the wine cease from the winepresses; no one treads them with shouts of joy; the shouting is not the shout of joy.
