Mas, por amor do meu nome, eu agi, evitando que o meu nome fosse profanado aos olhos das nações entre as quais eles estavam e à vista de quem eu tinha me revelado aos israelitas para tirá-los do Egito.

O que fiz, porém, foi por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado � vista das nações, no meio das quais eles estavam, a cujos olhos eu me dei a conhecer a eles, tirando-os da terra do Egito.

Ezekiel 20:9
But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.
