Quanto aos que pareciam influentes—o que eram então não faz diferença para mim; Deus não julga pela aparência—tais homens influentes não me acrescentaram nada.

Ora, daqueles que pareciam ser alguma coisa (quais outrora tenham sido, nada me importa; Deus não aceita a aparência do homem), esses, digo, que pareciam ser alguma coisa, nada me acrescentaram;

And from those who seemed to be influential (what they were makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality)--those, I say, who seemed influential added nothing to me.
