Contudo, quando avaliei tudo o que as minhas mãos haviam feitoe o trabalho que eu tanto me esforçara para realizar,percebi que tudo foi inútil, foi correr atrás do vento;não há nenhum proveito no que se faz debaixo do sol.

Então olhei eu para todas as obras que as minhas mãos haviam feito, como também para o trabalho que eu aplicara em fazê-las; e eis que tudo era vaidade e desejo vão, e proveito nenhum havia debaixo do sol.

Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun.
